NYCBallet Jewels

A couple weekends ago, my fiancé and I went to see the New York City Ballet’s performance of Balanchine’s Jewels. It’s one I’ve always want to see and I was so excited to get the chance. The three pieces, Emeralds, Rubies, and Diamonds, were lovely, but Rubies was by far my favorite – so much spunk and energy. There are more shows in the spring and if you’re near NYC, I would highly recommend it. Another perk of the performance was the current installation by french street artist J R in the promenade of the David H. Koch Theater, a giant eye photograph of New York City Ballet’s dancers. Some guests were getting down on the floor and taking photos with the photos, and while I chose to shoot from a standing position, it was still pretty cool!
