2013: We Made It

Image via pinterest

I cannot believe that it is already January, already 2013, with the holiday’s over and a whole new year ahead of us. Two-thousand twelve was good to me and the boy, bringing us from Philadelphia to a whole new city to explore, and sending us on exciting trips both near and far, but I also cannot wait to see what 2013 has to offer. While I think we should always be trying to make improvements in our lives and to ourselves, and not just once a year, I think it’s equally important to invest just as much energy into being kind to ourselves and taking the time to be grateful for all that we are good at and accomplish. With that in mind, here are my resolutions for 2013.
  1. Stop sleeping in until the last possible moment and use that extra morning time to get to the gym more often.
  2. Have solo dance parties.
  3. Go to sleep earlier, especially to help with number 1.
  4. Continue to explore New York, get more involved with local organizations / events, and start to become a real New Yorker.
  5. Read much, much more.
  6. Host game nights, parties, dinners, and movie nights with friends each month.
  7. Start a happiness jar, like the one above, in which the boy and I will place, exciting and happy things that happen throughout the year, to provide a really tangible way to celebrate both the little and big things.
xx Molly
