Coffee Table Inspiration

For my new, NYC apartment (pictures coming soon), I'm on the hunt for the perfect coffee table. Or to revise that statement, the perfect coffee table given the tight space, and the desire for the already small room not to feel and smaller or, heavens forbid, cluttered. So while my normal taste in coffee tables tends to trend toward a statement piece, either because of scale, color, design, you name it, I'm instead tailoring my tastes to something simple, elegant, and airy (and preferably something that can fit another purpose later, when I do have the room for the grand table of my dreams). My round-up includes tables that I believe fit the bill because of simple lines, glass material, white coloring, or smaller scale (end tables). I've also included some of my favorite inspirational images for coffee tables, and living rooms.
  1. Crate and Barrel: Clairemont Coffee Table $699.00
  2. Serena & Lily: Cerused Oak Coffee Table $895.00
  3. ABC Home: Victoria Coffee Table $895.00
  4. Wisteria: Diamond Pattern Stool $289.00
  5. Restoration Hardware: 1920's French Metal Side Table $195.00
  6. Ethan Allen: Heron Coffee Table $699.00

This room appeals to me due to the use of color and layout (in fact, this layout is almost identical to my living room in NYC!)

The furniture in this space is versatile with simple colors and classic lines, so that it can be used for years, in different rooms, and still fit. I love the natural, wood tone of the coffee table which balances the vibrant pops of orange.

Helloooo statement coffee table. I love the size, I love the wood, and I LOVE those ceilings!

The small space has an appropriately sized coffee table and with the simple parsons lines doesn't overwhelm.

The idea of using poofs as footstools/coffee table/extra seating when needed is so ingenious, and the type of versatility needed in a small space.
