D.C. Again

Last week, a business trip brought me to Washington D.C. for a few days. In some ways it was strange walking around my old stomping grounds (I interned in D.C. for a summer in college) and realizing that distances that in my memory had seemed so far to walk, were really just a few blocks. At first I was puzzled by my discovery but then I realized that when I interned it was the heat of the summer and being outside was like stepping into a steam room, not exactly my cup of tea. It's so funny how weather can make or break an experience. Needless to say, I think I like D.C. much more in the spring than in the summer heat. While there, I met up with a dear friend from college who introduced me to Founding Farmers, a delicious restaurant where I got the best grilled cheese and avocado sandwich imaginable and a bowl of tomato soup - perfect comfort food. And but of course, what trip to D.C. would be complete without a little stop to Georgetown Cupcake.

xx Molly
