Ombre Cake

This weekend I baked an ombre cake, which, if I do say so myself, turned out wonderfully. Isn't it funny how a slight twist on an original can seem so fun, different, and happy? The cake was vegan, although the icing was not, but it was perfectly delicious and just the way I was hoping it would be. Here's to fancy Sunday afternoons.
