Sparkled Pumpkins

This weekend, my boyfriend and I went pumpkin picking at a local farm. I knew I wanted to do something with the pumpkins that would allow them to last through Thanksgiving, so I decided to glitter them. It was super easy and quick, taking about 15 minutes for two pumpkins, and the results were just what I was hoping for.
  1. Lay out newspaper on your working surface.
  2. Prep glue (I used plain, old Elmer's) and glitter.
  3. Paint glue onto half of the pumpkin, making sure to coat it in a thin even layer (no need to worry too much about the bottom as it won't be seen).
  4. Sprinkle the glitter over the glued part of the pumpkin ensuring that the paper under the pumpkin has no glue on it.
  5. Repeat with the remaining half.
  6. Use the newspaper that caught the excess glitter to funnel the extra back into the container.
  7. Let the pumpkin dry and shake off any loose glitter, then decorate!
