Mountain Majesty

For the long Labor Day weekend, my boyfriend, Minnie, Belle, and I piled into the car and drove to Western Massachusetts in the Berkshires, where my boyfriend grew up. When we first met, he was always talking about how flat upstate New York was, and how he missed his mountains. While I've now been to visit many times and appreciated the beauty of the Berkshires, this time we drove up, 3,489 feet up, to the highest point in Massachusetts - Mount Greylock. It was a fogging day, so we couldn't see quite as far as usual, but the rolling fog on the top reminded me of a Jane Austen novel, I was totally smitten. The rest of our time was spent visiting friends and family, including a friend's new organic farm (the produce was delicious). The weekend was just what the doctor ordered.
