One of my favorite discoveries upon moving to Philadelphia is the artisan gelato shop, Capogiro. It is seriously delicious and some of the best I've ever had (and I've been to Italy and France). The gelato at Capogiro has a smooth and creamy texture but the best part is the unique flavors that are so authentic. If the flavor says Mango, you'd better believe it's going to taste just like mango. It's uncanny. The flavors change daily and can range from Avocado, to Salt, yes salt, to Pistachio, to my personal favorite, Burnt Sugar. The gelato is undeniably delicious; in fact, it was recently mentioned in this Wall Street Journal article.
