Berry Shortcakes


To add a festive flair to our Independence Day Celebrations I made Berry Shortcakes with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries for a red, white, and blue touch to our dessert. I followed this recipe for assembly, and this recipe for the biscuits. I made a couple changes to both recipes by not adding sugar to the fruit and making circular biscuits using a glass instead of the square ones the recipe called for. Overall, the dessert was easy and delicious with just the right mix of sweet and savory.
